GLC (Global Language Cebu) is pleased to extend its comprehensive range of services to enhance your study abroad experience. Our offerings include an airport pick-up service, on-campus meals, free laundry service, resident nurses and doctor visits, a consultation buddy lecturer system for study and life consultations, and a variety of school-sponsored activities. We provide maximum planning and support so that international students can live a safe, fun and fulfilling life while studying abroad.

Airport Pick-up Service

Upon your arrival in Cebu, there is no need to worry about arranging transportation from the airport to school. Our support begins the moment you step out of Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Airport. As you navigate through immigration, retrieve your baggage, and pass through customs inspection, you'll notice numerous language schools and hotel staff members holding signboards for pick-ups right outside the building. Look for our school's signboard, clearly labeled with the name "GLC," synchronized with the arrival time of your flight. Please inform the staff holding the sign of your name, and they will efficiently assist you. Once you've connected with our team, we'll smoothly transport you to GLC or your accommodation. It's worth noting that there might be a brief waiting period for both pick-up and drop-off, as we cater not only to individual customers but also to several others who have recently arrived. For more comprehensive information, please consult the pick-up confirmation letter provided by each agency before your departure, as well as our detailed travel guidebook. We are committed to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable transition from the airport to your destination in Cebu.

Meal Service

Three meals provided every day (including weekends and holidays)
Enrolled students at GLC can rest assured that they need not worry about cooking or procuring food. Our school goes above and beyond by offering three meals daily, even on weekends and holidays. The culinary experience at GLC is centered around our buffet-style school cafeterias, providing a diverse array of meals inspired by various nationalities. Options include Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai, pasta, ramen, and udon. Recognizing the significance of a balanced diet for maintaining good health, our dedicated kitchen staff meticulously prepares each meal. While we strive to ensure everyone's satisfaction, it is crucial to understand that GLC operates as a school cafeteria, not a restaurant. In the event that the daily school menu may not align with individual tastes, fret not. The vicinity surrounding GLC boasts numerous supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, ramen shops, izakayas, and more. On such occasions, students have the flexibility to explore alternative dining options outside the school premises.

Free Room Cleaning and Laundry Service

GLC provides room cleaning and laundry services to international students so that they can enjoy a comfortable study abroad experience. We provide both services for free.

Rooms in student dorms are cleaned once a week for free. Bed sheets and pillowcases are typically changed once a week. Rooms for hotel visitors are cleaned everyday.

Laundry service is available twice a week, with separate submission days. Laundry schedule and process will be explained during orientation after your arrival. Please follow the instructions for using the service. Please keep in mind that this service is being provided by a professional company. (up to 9 kg each week)

Resident Nurse/ Doctor Visit

On weekdays (Monday through Friday), a dedicated school nurse is on call from 8:00 to 17:00. As a result, if you are feeling ill or have a stomachache, you can always see the school nurse. The campus also features an clinic and a bed for the clinic.

In addition to the school nurse, a doctor from a partner hospital visits the school once a week. You don't have to go to the hospital to visit a doctor, and they can diagnose and provide medication. By producing your insurance policy, you can access cashless medical treatment and medication prescriptions if you have international travel insurance. Cashless payment may not be feasible with credit cards and some international travel insurance. In that situation, please keep in mind that you must correspond in cash.

Consultation

Study / life consultation

At GLC, we have implemented a Homeroom Teacher system, also known as the Buddy Teacher system, to enhance the English learning experience for international students and ensure the smooth progression of their study abroad journey. Upon enrollment, each student will be assigned a dedicated Filipino homeroom teacher.

To further support students, we organize group consultations at regular intervals. During these sessions, you have the opportunity to inquire about the alignment of your current class with your proficiency level, address any inconveniences you may be experiencing, and express concerns or questions regarding your learning process. Moreover, these consultations provide an open space for discussing challenges not only related to academics but also pertaining to daily living.

We encourage you to feel at ease approaching us for guidance on any difficulties you may encounter outside of formal learning. Additionally, if you wish to meet with your homeroom teacher beyond the scheduled sessions, you can make arrangements by submitting a request at the office.

Game Room

Game Room: A Hub of Entertainment and International Interaction

Welcome to our game room, where we provide a diverse range of rentals, including TV games and board games. This offers a unique opportunity to engage in entertaining activities while fostering interactions with international students from around the globe, as well as fellow Japanese students. The designated campus location ensures a lively and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.

School Sponsored Activities

At GLC, we take pride in offering a diverse range of sponsored activities designed to enrich your school experience. From thrilling marine adventures and island hopping to captivating diving excursions, whale shark tours, and immersive Bohol island explorations – we have something for everyone. Additionally, we organize volunteer activities, engaging school English programs, and lively bowling competitions to add an extra dimension to your time at GLC. These activities cater to both free and paid programs, ensuring there's an option for every student.

Free Shuttle Bus Service

GLC is pleased to offer a convenient shuttle service to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and hotels, operating on both weekdays and weekends. This exclusive service is available for resident students, allowing them to utilize it at their convenience. To ensure a seamless experience, please take note of the designated shuttle pick-up times upon your arrival at the site.

It's important to be aware that the shuttle service may be subject to cancellation without prior notice in the event of traffic jams or adverse weather conditions. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to plan accordingly.
